CleverTutor is the brainchild of a
New York teacher, Nancy Meryl Cohen, who believes that EVERY child can actualize his or
her potential.
The
philosophy of CleverTutor's founders is "to make learning an
enjoyable experience."
Ms. Cohen launched CleverTutor in 1993 with a handful of students.
Within a couple of months, her tutoring service became a flourishing enterprise by
word-of-mouth from one parent to another, one student to another, one professional
colleague to another.
The concept of CleverTutor is amazingly simple: providing students from
pre-kindergarten to high school enhanced skills in reading, writing and math with a
program that is totally individualized. In addition, CleverTutor offers
test preparation (individually or in groups) in English Language Arts (E.L.A.) and the New
York State Math test preparation.
CleverTutor focuses on empirical academic results. By learning the
essentials of basic academic skills that are measured by state and federal standardized
tests, CleverTutor assures that every child will be equipped to compete
in today's high-powered marketplace and will experience the self-esteem that derives from
personal academic accomplishment.
In addition, Nancy recently spoke at a number of functions throughout the North Shore of Long Island, most
recently in Locust Valley, NY about her successful method of teaching. She has an office in
Great Neck.
